  • NASI-SCOPUS Young Scientist Award for the year 2012. The award carries a trophy, citation, and cash award of INR 75000. 48 applications were received in the Physics category from different academic and research institutions across the country, from which panelists shortlisted 5 candidates after intensive deliberations and scrutiny. Following presentations and a questions & answers session, the panel was unanimous in selecting me as the winner. Key notes given by the panellists in support of my award: (a) Establishment of a world class experimental setup (b) Excellent Publications with high citations


  • Elected as SENIOR MEMBER of IEEE, USA in 2013 . The grade of Senior Member is the highest for which application may be made and shall require experience reflecting professional maturity. For admission or transfer to the grade of Senior Member, a candidate shall be an engineer, scientist, educator, technical executive, or originator in IEEE-designated fields for a total of 10 years and have demonstrated 5 years of significant performance.
